Such a great little family owned and local restaurant. The food is the best - we ordered the bibimbop and khanpunggi chicken. The chicken was absolutely delicious, the best I have had in the area. Naengmyun cold noodles was too sweet for my taste. The friendliest and most welcoming service around. We definitely plan to return!

Don't let the mismatched interior turn you away. Authentic as it can get, with good taste and friendly waitstaff. We were pleasantly surprised to find this so close to Rockville Ice rink. Definitely a spot for local Koreans; but menu has photos and English translations. jajangmyeon (black bean noodles) savory with perfect blend of sweet and salty, jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) bursting with spice and seafood. Solid kimchi (2 kinds). Prices are really reasonable for Korean and best part you don't have to drive to Annendale Va for Korean Chinese food. Looking forward to my next return- youth hockey travel hidden gem.

Very good, reasonably priced food. We enjoyed the jjajiangmyeon, jjampong (spelling?), dumplings, and family restaurant atmosphere. It was busy on a Wednesday after at 1:30 and service was prompt but unrushed.

This is our one favorite local spots to eat. The Ja Jang Myun and steamed dumplings are two of our favorites, although we've enjoyed many different dishes. The service is great, portions are generally large and the prices are awesome.

Hits the spot for jajangmyun but can't beat the OG one that I dream about (located in College Park). Good flavor and price though!

This has been our go to Korean place lately. Their steamed Mandu is my favorite comfort food! The filling is yummy and the dough is a little chewy and not super thin. Also pictured is yang jang pi. It's a great balance of veggies and meat.

WOW! Best korean-chinese food in Maryland. I've been to Ti-an, Hanjoong kwan, and Daraewon, but my favorite jjajang myeon (black bean noodle) place so far. Portions are generous too which I love. Their jjam pong (spicy noodle) was good, personally preferred the black bean noodle though :) Their fried pork (탕수육) was also good - though portion size was slightly smaller and could have more meat. However it was very crispy and well-fried! Service was very quick, servers were nice. Ambiance wise, it's older, smaller, and not the nicest looking spot - but I only value food quality when I go to Korean-Chinese spots! Will definitely be coming back here!

Noodle dishes are very good. The fried items however are excellent! Seriously rarely have I had tangsuyuk and kangponggi so perfectly fried and balanced in taste and texture. This is what elevates this place from 4 to 5 stars. Mom and pop places like this are few these days so will come back to try more next time!

I seem to always drive by this restaurant located in this tiny strip mall. My boyfriend and I were craving some Korean food and decided today is the day we tried Wang Ja Jang. Once we walked in, we were greeted by the owner and quickly sat. I started looking through their Yelp page and realized this was a mom and pop shop. Dining in there gave us such a warm and homey feeling. We ordered the jajangmyeon kan poong gi combo and the jam pong tang su yuk combo. For the price of these dishes, the portions were pretty big. Especially with the combo, it's the perfect amount to share. My bowl of jam pong was HUGE. The broth was the perfect amount of spicy and had a rich seafood flavor. It was filled with vegetables and a decent amount of seafood. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his jajangmyeon and kept mentioning it felt like he was eating in Korea haha. I had a bite of his dish and really enjoyed it as well The kanpoonggi was delicious and fried perfectly. The tang su yuk was the perfect amount of sweetness too. For the price, I would say this is a good deal! It looks like we found our go to Korean spot in the Rockville area.
